Up close
3/4" real hardwood for anyone who wants a light, European-style floor, or a herringbone or other pattern. Ornos is a light honey oak, warm and bright, that makes living rooms and bedrooms feel like home. The French white oak is fumed and then lime-washed, which lightens the grain without hiding it, with an ultra-matte finish that hides marks and footprints. What sets it apart: the same color comes in 6" planks and in 4-3/4" pattern pieces, so you can run straight planks in one room and herringbone in another. It goes on any level of the house; per the manufacturer, it is not recommended for bathrooms or very humid areas. With hardwood, what decides how long the floor lasts is what you can't see: moisture in the slab. That's why we check the slab before we install.
