These terms cover the use of this website and its free tools: the photo estimator, the pricing tools, the chat, “My list,” the search and the referral program pages. By using the site you accept them; if you do not agree, please do not use it.
Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Own Style LLC, doing business as Flooring at Tampa Bay, 10261 Windhorst Rd, Tampa, FL 33619.
Nothing is sold or paid on this website
You cannot buy, reserve or pay for anything on this site. Products are purchased at our showroom, and installation work is hired through a written estimate and contract. No card details or payments are ever requested here.
Estimates from this website are estimates
The photo estimator, the pricing tools, the chat answers and the quantities in “My list” are approximations based on the information you provide. They are not a quote, not a contract, and not a binding price. Real conditions — the state of the subfloor, moisture readings, access, the material you choose — change the final number. A binding price comes only from a written estimate issued after we measure.
The chat is an automated assistant
The chat is a computer program, not a person. Its answers are general information drawn from our own pages, and they can be incomplete or wrong. They are not professional advice for your specific project and not an offer. Check anything important with us before you act on it. Sending a question means you accept the chat notice shown above the question box, and you should not type personal, financial or health information.
“My list” does not reserve products
“My list” is a planning tool. Adding a product or sending your list does not reserve, hold or price it. The 10% waste allowance and the suggested baseboard (35% of the floor’s square feet) are common rules of thumb that we confirm when we measure. Prices are given at the showroom. A list you send is kept open for 15 days; availability, colors and prices may change in the meantime.
Market pricing information
Where this site publishes market ranges or comparisons, they come from public sources that are cited with the date they were collected. They describe the market at that moment and may be out of date by the time you read them. They are provided for orientation, not as a guarantee of what any other company will charge you.
In-home visits are free
When a project needs it — to measure, to prepare or adjust an estimate, or to talk through details in person — we arrange a visit by phone and come out at no cost and with no obligation. We do not run an online booking system: call (813) 455-5756, or write to us and we call you, and we agree on a time that works for both sides, subject to our availability. If something comes up, just let us know: there is no fee to cancel.
Service area
We work in the Tampa Bay area. If the property is outside the area we serve, we tell you as soon as you contact us, before anyone spends time on it.
Products shown on this site
The product catalog on this website is for browsing and planning. Photos are of our real showroom samples, but colors look different on every screen and vary between production lots: see them in person before you decide. Availability, colors and prices may change, and what is shown here is not an offer to sell.
Calls, emails and texts about your request
When you send a form, you agree that we may call, email or text you about that request. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop calling or emailing you. This consent is not a condition of any purchase.
What you send us
Please give us accurate information and only your own contact details, or those of someone who agreed to be contacted. Only upload photos you have the right to share. By sending information or photos, you allow us to use them to answer you and prepare your estimate or list, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not send anything unlawful, offensive or that belongs to someone else.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: use bots, scripts or other automated means to send forms, query the chat or copy the site’s content; try to get around the bot check, the daily limits or any other protection; use our forms to send messages to people who did not ask for them; try to make the chat produce content unrelated to flooring or to reveal how it works; or probe the site for security weaknesses without our written permission. We may block access that breaks these rules.
Referral program
The referral program and the Installer Pro Rebate are governed by their own program terms, published on the referral pages of this site (/referral/terms/). Where those terms and these differ on a program matter, the program terms govern.
Content on this site
The text, photos, tools and articles on this website, and the Flooring at Tampa Bay name and logo, belong to us. You are welcome to link to them and to quote them with attribution. Copying them wholesale onto another site, or using our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, is not permitted.
Our articles are information, not instructions for your specific project
The blog and technical library explain how flooring, subfloors and moisture behave in general. Your property is specific. Nothing published here replaces an assessment of your actual conditions, and we are not responsible for outcomes if you act on general information without one.
Links and services of other companies
Some pages link to, or load services from, other companies — for example, the Google map. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Accessibility
We work to make this website usable for everyone. Our Accessibility Statement explains what we do and how to ask for help if something does not work for you.
The website is provided “as is”
We do our best to keep this website and its tools accurate and available, but we provide them “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind beyond those the law does not allow us to exclude. We do not promise that the site will be free of errors or interruptions.
Limits of our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or its free tools, including decisions made based on an estimate, a chat answer or a list. Because the website and its tools are free, our total responsibility for any claim arising from the use of the website itself is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it, and it does not affect our obligations under a signed contract for your work.
Misuse
If you use the website in violation of these terms — for example, by submitting someone else’s information without their permission — you are responsible for the claims that result from that misuse.
Work we perform
Installation work is governed by the written estimate and contract you sign for that specific job, not by these terms. Where they differ, the signed contract for your project governs.
Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute about the use of this website will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
If part of these terms is not valid
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these terms at some moment, we do not give up the right to do so later.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the revision date at the top. Changes apply from the moment they are published and never retroactively.
