Up close

Real oak hardwood for anyone who wants an authentic, textured floor in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. Light oak with a brushed grain and a clean, bright look. This is the 14 mm version of the line, with 8.7" × 86.6" planks and a 2.2 mm oak layer: the same real-wood look at a lower entry cost; it allows a light sanding if ever needed. The engineered core moves far less than solid wood with Tampa's humidity, and it can be glued, stapled or floated depending on the subfloor. It is not waterproof: for full bathrooms or laundry rooms, a vinyl option is the better choice. With hardwood, what decides how long the floor lasts is what you can't see: moisture in the slab. That's why we check the slab before we install.
