Up close
Real European white oak hardwood for anyone who wants the warmth of wood at a more accessible price, in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. Straw is a medium golden oak, warm and classic, that makes a house feel like home. At 3/8" thick, it is one of the thinnest engineered hardwoods: it works well where height is limited, for example next to existing doors or cabinets. The aluminum oxide finish stands up well to daily wear, and matching moldings are available to finish stairs and transitions. It goes on any level of the house; per the manufacturer, it is not for wet areas. With hardwood, what decides how long the floor lasts is what you can't see: moisture in the slab. That's why we check the slab before we install.
