Up close
Real hardwood for homeowners who want authentic oak in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. Warm medium brown with an open grain: the classic that never goes out of style. The top layer is European white oak over an engineered core that moves far less than solid wood with Tampa's humidity. Compared with a wood-look vinyl, it offers the texture and value of real hardwood, with wide, long planks, a protected satin finish and a slip-resistant surface. It is not waterproof: for full bathrooms or laundry rooms, a vinyl option is the better choice. Per the manufacturer, it can be installed over radiant heating. With hardwood, what decides how long the floor lasts is what you can't see: moisture in the slab. That's why we check the slab before we install.
