Up close
Real European white oak hardwood for anyone who wants the warmth of wood at a more accessible price, in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. Oat is a light oak with a soft gray undertone, current and neutral, that pairs well with white walls and cool tones. At 3/8" thick, it is one of the thinnest engineered hardwoods: it works well where height is limited, for example next to existing doors or cabinets. The aluminum oxide finish stands up well to daily wear, and matching moldings are available to finish stairs and transitions. It goes on any level of the house; per the manufacturer, it is not for wet areas. With hardwood, what decides how long the floor lasts is what you can't see: moisture in the slab. That's why we check the slab before we install.
