Up close

Real American walnut hardwood for anyone who wants a warm, elegant floor in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. Bonaire has the deep chocolate color of walnut, with highly varied grain that gives it a sophisticated, inviting feel. The 7-1/2" planks are live-sawn: they show the whole pattern of the log, with knots and mineral streaks, so no two planks are alike. Planks up to 7' 2-1/2" long: fewer visible seams. Walnut is softer than oak, so felt pads under furniture legs are a good idea. It installs on any level of the house; per the manufacturer, it is not recommended for bathrooms or very humid areas. With hardwood, what decides how long the floor lasts is what you can't see: moisture in the slab. That's why we check the slab before we install.
