Up close
Rigid vinyl in extra-wide, long planks for anyone who wants the charm of rustic oak without the upkeep of hardwood. Natural oak with whitewashed knots and cracks: the look of a reclaimed antique floor. Per the manufacturer, it is 100% waterproof and has a built-in antibacterial acoustic underlayment that helps prevent mold and reduces noise; it floats, with no glue, and works on any level of the house. Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and commercial spaces too. Being waterproof on top does not fix an uneven or damp subfloor. Checking the slab and the leveling before we install is what prevents gaps opening between planks or boards that squeak.
