Up close
Rigid-core vinyl flooring with built-in underlayment, for anyone who wants the look of wood throughout the house with minimal upkeep. Alafia is a light oak with a fine, straight grain, clean and bright. 60" × 9" planks with a 20 mil wear layer, suited to the traffic of a family with kids or pets, and a factory-attached 1.5 mm IXPE underlayment: it softens footstep noise and saves buying underlayment separately. Being waterproof on top does not fix an uneven or damp subfloor. Checking the slab and the leveling before we install is what prevents gaps opening between planks or boards that squeak.
