Up close
Sandstone-look porcelain tile for anyone who wants a natural stone floor, understated and very durable, in living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and high-traffic areas. Wander White is a warm white with a fine sandstone grain, bright and calm. It is rectified, color-body porcelain, and the manufacturer even approves it for heavy commercial use: in a home with kids and pets, there's durability to spare. The line also includes a 2 cm paver for patios and terraces, so indoors and outdoors can share the same color. Per the manufacturer, it is rated for interior wet areas (IW+). With 12" × 24" porcelain, what decides whether a tile sounds hollow or cracks is what's underneath: the leveling of the slab and the coverage of the thinset. That's why we check the slab before we install.
