Up close
Decorative acoustic panel for anyone who wants a warm accent wall that also reduces echo, in living rooms, bedrooms, home offices or behind the TV. Tawny Macro is a warm medium-brown wood. The Macro version has wider slats, with a bolder, more modern rhythm. The slats are mounted on acoustic felt that, per the manufacturer, absorbs more than half of the sound that reaches it (NRC 0.55): you notice it in rooms with high ceilings, hard floors and little furniture. The 10.63" × 94.5" panels install with no sanding or painting. It is for dry interiors. What decides the result with an acoustic panel is the fastening: each panel is screwed into the wall studs, so we locate the framing before we install so the lines stay plumb and the panel doesn't move.
