Up close
Rustic-wood-look porcelain tile for anyone who wants the warmth of a plank floor in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and throughout the house, without fear of water. Olive is a dark brown with an olive undertone and a very bold grain, rustic and full of character. 8" × 36" planks, a manageable size that installs well even on floors with small imperfections. It also comes in a parquet mosaic in the same color, for a herringbone accent or an entryway. Per the manufacturer, it is rated for interior wet areas (IW). With 12" × 24" porcelain, what decides whether a tile sounds hollow or cracks is what's underneath: the leveling of the slab and the coverage of the thinset. That's why we check the slab before we install.
