Up close
High-performance laminate for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and high-traffic commercial spaces. Light beige with a soft grain: bright and calm. It has an AC5 wear rating, the highest for laminate, and is 12 mm thick: it stands up to heels, chairs and the heavy use of a business. Per the manufacturer, it resists water for up to 300 hours, so everyday spills are not a problem; even so, it is not waterproof, and for full bathrooms vinyl is the better choice. The texture follows the grain pattern, and the V-groove bevel defines each plank just like real hardwood. With laminate over a slab, moisture protection and subfloor leveling are what decide how long it lasts. That's why we check the slab before we install.
