Up close
High-performance laminate in long planks for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and high-traffic commercial spaces. Warm brown oak with pronounced knots: rustic, with character. Its 72" planks reduce visible seams and give a spacious, continuous look. It has an AC5 wear rating, the highest for laminate, and is 12 mm thick. Per the manufacturer, it resists water for up to 300 hours, so everyday spills are not a problem; even so, it is not waterproof, and for full bathrooms vinyl is the better choice. With laminate over a slab, moisture protection and subfloor leveling are what decide how long it lasts. That's why we check the slab before we install.
